Diesha Cole is a paralegal with the Law Office of Beverly Winstead, LLC. In this role she researches and assists the firm’s attorneys with all aspects of case management. She is a recent graduate of the University of Florida. She spent her undergraduate career participating in a handful of extracurricular activities, while balancing her academic requirements. It has been her dream to practice law since her childhood, and she has taken major steps in her life to ensure she is fully equipped for this calling.
Diesha served as an intern for state representatives as well as served as a parliamentarian for her sorority chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Through this service she was able to acquire the necessary skills to understand, enforce, and adapt to the letter of law. She is always working to sharpen and enhance these skills, so that she can provide the most effective and top quality legal service to local, national, and global communities.
LaKia M. Bourne
LaKia M. Bourne is an accountant with the Law Office of Beverly Winstead, LLC. In this role she assists the firm’s attorneys with case management. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. In 2003, LaKia decided to obtained her M.B.A in order to gain a holistic view of businesses, then went to work for . After graduating with her M.B.A. LaKia went to work for aa public accounting firm, currently known as Cohn Reznick.
After several years in public accounting she decided to broaden her knowledge and moved to the private sector. LaKia worked as a Controller for a healthcare practice with annual revenues of $70M, 144 office locations, and staff size of 250+ including 26 physicians. LaKia’s greatest professional achievement is when she sees her clients use their financial data to grow their business and continually use the data to maintain a financially healthy company.
